Distilled back in 1995, this Glen Grant was matured for 21 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead before being re-racked into a virgin oak hogshead with a heavy toast and medium char. Sweet, Fruity & Mellow profile.

Well-aged Glen Grant is a not uncommon Society sight. But this month we’re presented with something a little tangential - a vatting of (roughly 19 year old) hogsheads back in 2016, each filled into a 1st fill oloroso hogshead for an additional four year maturation. So single cask in destination only.

Glen Grant regularly appears in outturns with age statements from opposite ends of the spectrum (with very little in between). This black label bottling is from the elder side of things with 26 years behind it after being matured in a refill ex-bourbon barrel laid down in 1992.
